Our Packaging

Our pouches, insulation, ice gels and how to recycle

Pouches

We use pouches that are designed to optimise our cooking process whilst being strong enough to ensure there are no rips or leaks. The type of material we use consists of a mix of PE-PA plastics, with both polyethylene and polyamide being food-grade and BPA-free. Unfortunately our pouches are not currently recyclable, however we are in the process of testing recyclable pouches and hope to have a solution in place for this soon.

Boxes

Our boxes are fully recyclable and can be recycled in your household recycling bin!

Insulation

Our new honeycomb paper insulation is a lightweight, eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic insulation such as polystyrene.

Made primarily from Kraft paper, its honeycomb structure traps air to create a thermal barrier, helping to keep your Tuggs delivery at the right temperature while in transit.

Once you’ve unpacked your delivery, the insulation can simply be recycled at home alongside your usual paper and cardboard recycling.

Ice Packs

The liquid in our ice gel pouches can be poured down the sink and the packaging is fully recyclable :)
