Why is Tuggs' recommended portion different from my dog's previous food?
Why is Tuggs' recommended portion different from my dog's previous food?

An explanation on how our proprietary algorithm uses your dog's details for portion size calculation

Updated over a week ago

Our recommendation will be based on our unique algorithm that takes various details about your dog into account. For instance, if your dog's body condition leans towards slim, we will adjust their portion size to aid in reaching the ideal weight. Moreover, calorie density and nutritional value differ among foods and brands, impacting portion sizes. For instance, kibble tends to pack more calories than wet or cooked food, so transitioning from kibble to Tuggs might necessitate a larger portion.

Age also plays a significant role in portion sizing. Puppies (under 15 months) require extra calories for growth, which may decrease as they reach adulthood. We request you update their weight on your online account each month to ensure accurate recommendations.

Should our suggested portion size not suit your dog, adjustments can be made on the 'Dashboard' page of your account anytime (accessible here).
